Meet Your Provider
Bailey Adams, M.S., LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned my Master of Science in Disability Counseling from The University of North Texas in 2021. I specialize in trauma-informed care, supporting adults who are navigating the lasting impact of trauma and how it shows up in their current relationships, emotional responses, and daily life.
My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens in a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space. Together, we work to understand how past experiences may be influencing present patterns, while building practical coping skills to help reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to yourself and others.
I am a strong advocate for ending the stigma surrounding mental health and believe that seeking support is a sign of strength. I also recognize that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and I am committed to providing equitable, compassionate care for those who are ready to begin or continue their healing journey.
My clinical experience includes working as a school-based counselor supporting adolescents and their families, as well as providing group therapy in higher levels of care, including intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), and inpatient settings at Texas Health Huguley Hospital. These experiences have deepened my understanding of complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, and the many ways people adapt in order to survive.
My mission is to support healing from trauma in a way that feels collaborative, respectful, and human—helping clients move toward greater stability, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
I take a holistic and culturally responsive approach to therapy, considering your environment, worldview, identity, and life experiences as essential parts of your healing journey. Each person’s story is unique, and I believe therapy should reflect that.
More than any single technique or approach, the most important factor in successful counseling is a strong therapeutic relationship. It matters that you feel understood, respected, and genuinely supported by your therapist. Therapy should be a space where you can show up fully—sharing the good, the painful, and everything in between—without fear of judgment.
My role is to create a safe, grounded space where you are met exactly where you are. Together, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you as you build insight, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with parts of your life that may feel distant right now. The goal is to support you in healing, growing, and gradually returning to the things that bring meaning, joy, and fulfillment.
