As a wife, a mom, and a Christian, I often get asked what led me into this work—and the answer is deeply personal and simple at the same time. Everyone, in some way, has been touched by anxiety and depression. You may have experienced it yourself, or you likely know someone you love who has felt overwhelmed by it. Many of us also know the deep pain of suicide touching families and communities. These realities are what fuel my passion for this work.
My mission is to help break the stigma around mental health and to make meaningful, accessible support available—so fewer people feel like they have to suffer in silence. Healing should not be something people have to struggle to find alone.
One of my favorite quotes is by Babe Ruth: “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.” I carry this mindset into the therapy space. I believe in helping clients recognize their strengths—the things they are already doing right—and using those strengths as a foundation for growth, healing, and change.
I also believe it’s important for you to know that I’m a real person with my own life, faith, and experiences. I don’t see myself as separate from the work—I see myself as someone who understands what it’s like to take steps toward healing, to be vulnerable, and to do the hard work of change. I also value having support in my own life, because I believe strongly that even the best therapists need their own safe space too.
For me, ending the stigma starts with honesty, compassion, and connection. I know what it feels like to take that leap of faith and invest in your mental and emotional well-being—and I also know it’s worth it.
Mission
Adams Family Counseling serves individuals across the lifespan, offering supportive and accessible mental health care in the least restrictive, most appropriate setting for each person’s needs. When a higher level of care or specialized support is needed, I am committed to coordinating referrals and connecting clients with trusted providers to ensure continuity of care.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to fostering resilience, connection, hope, and healing within the community—supporting each person in taking meaningful steps toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.
Vision
My vision is for Adams Family Counseling to be a place where mental health and wellness are supported through a whole-person approach—honoring the connection between mind, body, and spirit. I believe healing is most effective when individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered in every area of their lives.
Through therapy, clients can gain insight, practical skills, and renewed confidence to fully engage in their communities, maintain independence, and thrive in their personal and professional lives. My hope is that each person leaves sessions feeling more grounded, encouraged, and motivated toward meaningful change.
Adams Family Counseling is committed to creating equitable and accessible opportunities for mental health care, ensuring that those who need and want support are able to receive compassionate, high-quality services without barriers.
